Amazon UK claims it will offer its “biggest ever” Black Friday sale this year, with its mega discounts lasting over one week. This trend is being used more and more by online retailers, why just put the deals on for one day when you can provide the best deals the internet has to offer for over a week?
The giant online retailer has confirmed that its Black Friday 2018 sales period will run from November 16 all the way through to November 25. It means you’ll start seeing Black Friday deals on Amazon a week before the 23rd of November (Black Friday).
In addition to this gigantic week of deals, Amazon will be offering a new way to shop during this promotion, with a new AR View feature in its smartphone app allowing you to view products in SITU in your home before committing to the purchase.
Amazon provide an amazing service and they sold over 100 million products on their prime day, so if that is anything to go by Black Friday could be even better.
If you’re a Prime member, you can also get access to deals before anyone else, with an exclusive 30-minute sneak peak of any lightning deals hitting the Amazon website. However, stocks won’t last forever.
What does this mean for other online retailers? Other retailers may struggle to compete with Amazon when it comes to variety of deals. Amazon stocks a huge range of products and a lot of them will be discounted heavily during this promotion. Retailers must use all of their power to compete by setting up marketing & PPC campaigns, hiring search marketing professionals to do this for your business will help push your sales in the correct direction.
